Application Deadline!

15 May

The following steps need to be undertaken by applicants from Non-EU countries with visa requirement wanting to study in the international study program at Neisse University.

After the official application at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz applicants need to go to their respective German Embassy or Consulate to apply for a visa. The applicants need

  • pre-admission certificate provided by the University
  • proof of finance (EUR 6,000.00 per year)

in order to receive a three months arrival-visa. Within 14 days after arrival in Germany the students have to

  • sign a rental agreement (help provided by the University for short term let before moving to the Czech Republic for first semester)
  • register at local registration office
  • opening a blocked account at a German bank (in some cases already required during visa application process)
  • cover German health insurance
  • eventually enroll at University course.

With all those requirements fulfilled, German immigration office will grant an extension of the visa for study purposes. Usually, this process takes up to six weeks. With a valid German visa for study purposes, students can apply for a residence permit for the Czech Republic and finally relocate.

We strongly advise applicants to apply as early as possible for visa in their home countries as the entire process is enormously time-consuming.
